Appeal Court sets date for trial
On Thursday, 7 November, at 10:00am or 10:30am (time to be confirmed), at the Court of Appeal of Aix en Provence, there will be a short hearing with Mukhtar Ablyazov present in order to set the date for the Court’s examination of Russia’s extradition request. Normally such hearings last just a few minutes.
It is expected that Russia will have representatives and/or a lawyer/lawyers present at the proceedings. The hearing will be open and media are likely to attend. Mukhtar Ablyazov's lawyers will issue a short press release Wednesday at around noon.
Official address is 20 Place de Verdun, Aix-en-Provence, France. But the hearing will be in the building behind that, at the end of rue Peyresc. It is an old medieval prison converted into a modern courthouse inside.
