Tomasz Makowski (Your Move) filing appeals in the case of Tatiana Paraskevich
The Polish MP Tomasz Makowski (Your Move) has filed appeals with the Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic and the Appeals Prosecutor in Prague, in defence of Tatiana Paraskevich who, since May 2012, has been in detained in Pilsen for the purpose of extradition.
Tomasz Makowski expressed his concern with the conduct of the prosecutor Vera Cechova, “who is trying, by all possible means, to prevent Ms Paraskevich from leaving detention. On the 18th November 2013, a court in Pilsen decided to release her on bail. The decision was appealed and the Supreme Court, in December 2013, complied with the motion from the prosecuting attorney. As we see it, there are reasons to believe that the conduct of the prosecutor Věra Čechova bears the characteristics of abuse and it would perhaps be reasonable to have it reviewed by the Minister of Justice.”
