Spanish media following the Interpol abuse conference
“Abuse of Interpol. Time for reform?” – These words were the rally cry for the 9th October conference organised by the Open Dialog Foundation in Madrid. During the meeting, the floor was taken, among others, by Alexander Pavlov, associate and former bodyguard of the Kazakh oppositionist Mukhtar Ablyazov.
The event received coverage in the Spanish media, including from the top press agencies EuropaPress and EFE. The articles also mentioned Pavlov’s story as well as the participation in the conference by the former Ukrainian Minister of Economy B. Danylyshyn, MP Ignacio Sanchez and OSCE Chair of the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian issues Isabel Santos.
