The Spanish High Court (Audiencia Nacional) decided to extradite the Kazakh oppositionist, Alexandr Pavlov, to Kazakhstan. Kozlov faces over a dozen years’ imprisonment. In the arrest warrant, Nazarbayev's government accused Pavlov of participation in the preparation of a terrorist attack. According to international observers, including the Open Dialog Foundation, Pavlov is being prosecuted for his long-term cooperation with Mukhtar Ablyazov – the number one enemy of the President of Kazakhstan.
